Joplin, Missouri Hit By Devastating Tornado

The massive tornado that hit Joplin Missouri has search and rescue teams scrambling to find survivors. There are 117 confirmed dead from the natural disaster that hit the city on Sunday, May 22. Authorities say they expect the death toll to rise while rescue teams search the debris. Officials say over 1,500 people are missing and unaccounted for.

The tornado reportedly traveled 6 miles and was a mile long. People in Joplin and nearby cities were warned a half hour before the tornado hit but officials say even with the warning, it was inevitable for people getting hurt or killed because of the size.

Hundreds of videos are making their way across the internet with shocking footage of the tornados making its way through town and destroying everything in it's path.

A video captured the true fear and desperation of people who went through the tornado. There are two videos below. The first video doesn't have the best visuals but the audio alone is enough to understand the personal hell that people went through and the second one looks as if a nuclear explosion went of in the city.
